Working with me

Coaching with me is a chat. A thought tangle. A pause. It’s not a lecture and it’s definitely not clinical. We explore how your brain actually works—not how it’s supposedly meant to—and figure out what helps you feel more like yourself (ideally without spreadsheets, unless you’re into that).

Coaching is traditionally only looking ‘forward’, but to me that’s too restrictive and doesn’t allow exploring deep seated ‘then’ patterns that shape how we behave in the now. This is why what I offer falls under therapeutic coaching.

In my sessions, we will often dip into these past patterns—stories you’ve been told, habits you didn’t choose. It’s not just coaching and it’s not just therapy. It’s not about labels or fixing. Just reflection, irreverence, and a whole lot of “huh, that makes sense now.”

What might a session look like? It depends. Some are deep and thoughtful. Some are full of planning, prioritising, visioning while venting. Some are joyful celebrations of everything that makes you YOU. I will inevitably swear like a sailor. I’ll offer some areas we could poke at—but you’re always in charge. Some weeks we’ll zoom out. Some weeks we’ll zoom in.

We check in on the basics: water, food, rest, moving, boundaries, remembering your login details. Not because you’ve failed, but because repetition is how real brains work. Especially the sparkly, sideways-thinking ones.

You’re not a machine, and this isn’t a conveyor belt. Growth isn’t tidy or linear. Some things need revisiting. Again. And again. Until they finally click—or feel like they belong to you.

Sessions work best with a bit of rhythm—weekly, monthly, or somewhere in between. We’ll figure that out together. And if you need a top-up or a pause, just say the word. This space is yours. Messy thoughts and half-formed ideas are welcome. There’s no right way to show up.

🔒 Notes

During sessions, you’ll often see me typing. I promise I’m not doing my online food shop. I take ‘micro notes’ as we talk —little snapshots of what we’ve covered, what you’ve said, and any tools or suggestions I’ve shared, because we can have a fantabulous conversation and not remember a thing about it the second it ends. And that includes me too!

I’ll usually send your notes within a couple of hours after our session, so you’ve got a record you can refer back to (especially helpful if your working memory is on strike).

They’re also how I remember what we’ve covered between sessions—so it’s a win-win.

As far as I know, sharing coaching notes like this isn’t standard—but my clients tell me they’re invaluable.

🤖 AI & Recordings

I use AI tools (like ChatGPT) to help with admin-y bits—like drafting documents or summarising non-identifiable notes. I never share your name or personal details. It’s a thinking helper, not a decision-maker.

Sessions are also recorded using a tool called Read AI, which creates transcripts and session insights to help me reflect and improve my work. These recordings are for internal use only and a safety net when my memory inevitably fails—nothing gets shared without your say-so.

If you’d like a copy of the session recording or transcript, just ask—I’m happy to share. If you’d prefer a full video recording, that’s totally doable too, but please remind me at the start of the session to hit record (it’s not automatic!).

Between Sessions & WhatsApp Coaching

Feel free to message me between sessions. Share your wins, wobbles, random realisations, memes or GIFs that sum up your life. I’ll read them, and they’ll help guide our work.

If things are busy or you’re away, we can agree to do some coaching over WhatsApp. If it becomes regular or deep-divey, we might agree to count it as a session or put a fee towards it. I’ll always be clear.

⌚ Rescheduling & Cancellations

I know that plans sometimes implode. I aim to be flexible and human. That said—this is my job, and I hold space for you in my calendar. I ask for the same respect in return. Please give 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or shift a session. Less than that? I may charge, unless it’s an actual crisis—just be honest. If things keep moving around, we’ll check in and see what’s going on. If I ever need to move a session, I’ll give you as much notice as I can.

💸 Fees & Payment

Payment is due upfront when you get your invoice, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. I’ll invoice before each new bundle and give you a heads-up when it’s nearly used up.

If money’s tight, let me know—we’ll work something out.

📋 Access to Work Clients

If you’re funded by ATW, it’s your job to submit the claims and keep an eye on payments. If there’s a delay, let me know—we can usually roll with it.That said, I can’t keep working if invoices go unpaid for over 30 days—sessions may need to be paused.

Need help with ATW paperwork? I’ve got you—just give me a bit of notice (not five minutes before a deadline while I’m mid-toast).

🔐 Your Data and Confidentiality

Your data is safe. I’m GDPR-compliant and only I access your notes. You can ask to see what I’ve written anytime.

I might bring anonymised themes to supervision—that’s normal, and it helps me be better at what I do. If I ever believe you or someone else is at serious risk, I may need to break confidentiality—but I’ll always try to talk to you first.

🗺 Ending or Pausing

You can pause or stop coaching anytime. I recommend a closing session to round things off and reflect (and also so I don’t spiral dramatically wondering what I said wrong). If I haven’t heard from you for a while, I’ll assume you’re on pause and may offer your slot to someone else. But the door stays open.

You’re always welcome back. No awkwardness. No shame.
